Well it is official, I no longer have a little baby, I have a little toddler. Kiersten is one years old. It is so hard to believe how fast this year has gone by, but it so awesome to see how much all the hard work of the first year is starting to pay off. I get to see how advanced she is, compared to other one year olds because I have have read and encouraged her throughout the past year. This is such a fun age. Her little personality is really shining through. Seh still listens to what I say, and does what I aks. I know, only expect a couple more months of that, but it is so much fun to be able to interact with her and hold a conversation with her (in her blabbers back) and she can understand a lot of what I say. This up coming year is going to be so much fun with her.
Well her Birthday party was great. WE had about 40 adults and about 15 kids. Everyone said that they had a lot of fun. Kiersten got lots and lots of presents from all her friends. From Mom and dad, she got a kiddie swimming pool, some alphabet foam letters mat, and a giant size playhouse. She loves it! She goes right to it when ever we open the door for her to go outside. The pool is great, just her size. It has a slide, 2 dolphin sprayers and 5 games. We have been in it a couple times this week. From Grandma & Grandpa Palmer, TONS of clothes, a blanket that was made my hand (by grandma) and a little motercycle that she loves so much. She gets on the bike and rocks back and forth as fast as she can! Great Grandpa, she recieved a check to go towards future college tuition, and Nanny Franny & Paul got her some really cute outfits, one will probably be her easter outfit, it is made out of chenille, and a doll. Grandpa Tom and Deb gave some money towards future college tuition as well. So overall, Kiersten had a great 1st Birthday, however it is very clear that she is already very spoiled, but that is ok, she is so special that she deserves to be spoiled.
Oh ya, we had a good turn out on the time capsule. I have not closed it yet in hopes that some family members would want to participate in it, so please if you still want to do something for Kiersten for this time capsule, please let me know for I would like to seal it by week end.
